Testimonials about Chris Harris' osteopathy

I went for treatment from Chris several times late 2007/early 2008 and found that he helped with my problem in a big way. I had suffered a painful tailbone for a long time and Chris certainly sorted it out. I came out feeling 10 years younger! He really listened to how I was feeling and found the spot. There's magic in those hands.

When an old injury came back to haunt me I tried to ignore it,  hoping it would go away. But I ended up in terrible pain and discomfort. In desperation I limped along for a consultation with Chris, hoping he could work miracles. He did. Within a few weeks, and after only a few sessions, not only was I walking with a skip in my step, but I was back on the dancefloor too. What can I say, the man knows his stuff. I still don't understand how it works - I only know it does! I would definitely recommend Chris and cranial osteopathy to anyone, anytime, for just about anything.

In February 2007 after a bone scan  I was shocked to hear I had severe osteoporosis of the spine. I regarded myself as a person with a reasonably healthy lifestyle, yet here I was in my early sixties with the bone mass of a person in their late seventies.

I was put on medication and soon experienced uncomfortable side effects: fatigue, aching joints, disturbed sleep, debilitating acid reflux. I felt dreadful. Yes I hated the fact that my bones had more holes than a lace doily. But the most depressing thing was a sense of loss. Some vital bits of me had slipped away, I couldn’t even name them.

In April 2008 when I went to see Chris Harris I knew I needed help. As I took him through my list of medical miseries I couldn’t quite articulate what frightened me the most. I remember saying “I just don’t feel like me anymore!”

I had the first session on a Friday. On the Sunday morning after a second night of deep sleep I woke up and felt quietly happy. I held on to the memory of the dream I’d just had. Then I realised it had been months since I had any dreams. My dreams have always been very important to me, they are where the world is put right, my anxieties shaped into manageable chunks. When and how had I given up sleep to images of crumbling bones? I don’t know.

Chris works in a quiet focussed way, it seems unbelievable that these gentle minute interventions can achieve such dramatic results: my damaged left hip is moving more freely, my energy levels are rising, my tinnitus (loud water sound) has gone. The chemical dam has been pushed aside, things are moving. My mind and body are having useful conversations. However for me the most stunning unexpected gift is my dreams. I have my dreams back.
